All Are Sacred is an ongoing body of work exploring shared humanity, care, and equality through the creation of small, hand-built shrines. Made primarily from papier mâché, each shrine contains natural materials, original hybrid figures, and a developing symbolic language—forms and signs created specifically for this project.

Alongside the sculptural shrines, the work also includes paintings and collages that extend these symbols and characters beyond the shrine format, allowing them to exist as a wider constellation of images. The symbols are intuitive rather than codified, emerging through repetition, gesture, and process rather than fixed meaning.

The characters function as my own reimagined saints: invented rather than inherited, symbolic rather than religious. Each shrine and image is different, shaped slowly and allowed to develop its own presence. The work draws on the visual language of devotion and folklore while deliberately stepping away from any single belief system.

At its core, All Are Sacred is an inclusive project. It proposes that no hierarchy of belief, identity, or origin is necessary—that care, dignity, and compassion are universal. By creating spaces of quiet attention and offering, the work invites reflection on how we relate to one another, and how we might choose gentleness over division.

This project is currently in development and will be exhibited in France.

The project also reflects on the material side of belief. Across cultures, vast resources are often invested in buildings, monuments, and objects intended to represent faith, despite belief itself being intangible—held in thought, care, and action rather than material wealth. In response, I choose to work with found objects and discarded materials, including elements that are difficult to compost or return to the earth. Through careful making, these materials are transformed into something attentive and symbolic, suggesting that meaning does not require excess, permanence, or expense to feel sacred.
